• Submit official ACT or SAT scores if under age 21 (must be on high school transcripts or be sent directly from testing agency) MTSU School Code: 3994
All freshmen students are required to submit ACT or SAT scores.

Guaranteed Admission
First-Time Freshmen
Complete college preparatory courses and have ONE of the following:
• 3.0+ GPA or • ACT composite score of 22+ (SAT 1100+) or • 2.7+ GPA and ACT score of 19+ (SAT 990+)
Transfer Students
Meet ONE of the following requirements:
• Earn 24 or more semester hours with a 2.0 or higher overall GPA from all postsecondary institutions
• Meet the freshman guaranteed admission standards if you’ve earned fewer than 24 hours (or 35 quarter hours) AND have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher
Admission by Holistic Review
• If you don’t meet guaranteed admission, complete the additional personal statement questions on the application.
• Your academic performance, standardized test scores, special interests and skills, and other nonacademic factors will be considered.
