MTSU students have plenty of places to fuel up before and after classes. They can use their unlimited meal plan at our cafeterias with changing menus, or spend Meal Equivalency dollars or FlexBucks at familiar food court favorites as well as grab-and-go markets. Freshmen living on campus are billed for either the 7-Day All Access Plan (dorm residents) or 150-Meal Plan (apartment assignees).

TRUE TESTIMONIES
Here are some letters from other True Blue parents and family.
Dear future MTSU parent,
I am so excited to welcome you to the Blue Raider family!
Sending my youngest off to college was not easy as a parent, but the family we have found at MTSU has been amazing.
I let my son choose any college in Tennessee, and he chose Middle Tennessee. He did his research and chose MTSU because of the outstanding academic programs here. He is majoring in Psychology and loves every minute of it.
We moved to Murfreesboro right before my son moved in on campus. Although I live just two blocks from the University, I felt it was important for my son to live in the dorms to get acquainted with college life. He has enjoyed the experience, met fantastic friends, and learned how to do his own laundry!
Although I live so close, I rarely see him. While it is an adjustment for me, it’s been fantastic for him. That’s how it’s supposed to be. There’s so much for kids to do, and he and his friends are learning about life.
He loves his studies, made the Dean’s List his first semester, and is looking forward to doing volunteer work around Murfreesboro as a part of his honor society requirements.
Things have gone so well for us in Murfreesboro; I decided to become a student too! I’m getting a graduate degree online and like to tease my son that maybe we can graduate together!!!
Welcome to the family, and know that even if you are not here, your child will still have family at MTSU!
True Blue,
Kristen Wells
Dear fellow MTSU parent,
I am pleased to congratulate you on your child being accepted to one of the most wonderful universities in the state of Tennessee, MTSU!!! I know your child will thrive at this university.
From day one of CUSTOMS to day one of classes, Brent has come to love this university. In his own words, “It feels like home.”
The CUSTOMS orientation at MTSU is so incredible. Any fear, doubt, worry that you have about your child attending this university will be put at ease at customs. MTSU does an excellent job in making you feel a part of the family from day one.
Brent lives on campus in an apartment complex. He loves being able to walk to class each day, and I have comfort in knowing he is in a very safe environment. MTSU invests in their student’s safety. In addition to investing in their safety, the university has an incredible staff that takes an interest in their students. My son loves each of his professors and actually enjoys going to class. Knowing that he is living on his own and actually gets up every day looking forward to class is such a great relief.
I encourage you to take advantage of all that MTSU has to offer parents and family. Get involved. Join the Parents and Family Association and connect with other parents through the Facebook group. You will find you are not alone in this journey. Many of the thoughts and feelings you are having about your child going to college are shared by other parents. Encourage your child to get involved as well. MTSU has a variety of events/organizations each week that your child can attend and/or join. Encourage them to be a part. You will find it will make their college years that more special.
While I know this is a hard time, know that MTSU is a great university with many wonderful things to offer your child. One step on campus and you too will find, “it feels like home.”
True Blue . . . Always! Vikki M. Lambert
